How WLI Works
Using an intentional cohort model, WLI engages community leaders and small nonprofit organizations through a multi-faceted curriculum including peer learning and group learning modules, highly individualized office hours with a sector professional, access to subject matter experts (SMEs), specialized workshops, and additional adult-learning methods, along with regranting and concrete support. The leaders from all three WLI cohorts actively engage in and are committed to long-term participation in WLI. As these WLI leaders engage in personal and professional development they are simultaneously serving the community through the programs, services, and resource provision they are leading. They also mentor, nurture, and invest in peers, residents, and youth throughout the community.
